How to Make Asian Pepper Steak on the Grill Easily

This recipe omits the sauce at the end since you’re making it on the grill. So it’s a bit more like fajitas, but with a different flavor profile. You marinate it before hand with an asian type sauce and then fly with it from there. I have several suggestions at the end as to what to serve it with. You can get creative with recipes like this. Have some good ideas? Comment with them below!

Ingredients

• 1-3lb Sirloin Steak sliced fairly thinly against the grain (easiest to do when partially frozen)

Marinade Sauce

• ⅔ cup Soy sauce

• 1 tbsp Garlic

• 2 tsp Paprika

• 1 tsp Ground ginger

• ⅔ cup Vegetable oil or Olive Oil

-Combine-

OR any asian marinade you happen to have in your cupboard… Don’t over think this! Easy does it friend.

Veggies to Add

• 3 Bell peppers sliced thinly long ways

• 1 ½ Celery sliced thinly

•1 Onion Sliced

2 Tbsp of Oil for grilling

1 tsp salt

OR Frozen bag or two of peppers and onions at least mostly thawed. EASY is the theme here lol.

-Toss together-

Directions

  1. Yank your Sirloin Steak out of the freezer - yep, last minute here I come- and thaw in the microwave on defrost for .25-.5 lb-ish time.

  2. Slice the Sirloin Steak while still partially frozen. SO MUCH EASIER!! Cut it against the grain for the most tender eating result.

  3. Start your grill if you haven’t already. You want it to be pretty hot when you are ready to cook- searing those steak bits. Yum!

  4. Cover the sliced Sirloin in the marinade while you slice the rest of your veggies. If you want to marinade it longer do it, but we’re going for easy and fast here - right!?

  5. Drain your steak slices a bit, they’ll cook better without all the liquid.

  6. Dump on your grill and cook them. Striving for searing them on both sides, but don’t stress about this lol. Easy….right?

  7. Remove the steak strips and dump the veggies tossed with oil and salt on the grill. Cook until crips-tender not too long.

  8. Mix & Serve.

    • Over salad, in tortillas, over chips, wrapped in lettuce, over rice, by itself

    • With beans or rice, with mashed potatoes, with salad, with an asian cabbage slaw

    • Add: sliced almonds, toasted sesame seeds, toasted coconut, and asian dressing

  9. Eat. Enjoy. Relax.
